Thanks for your forum. As a new 430W / 530W user it has already been very helpful. A few questions please:
1) I downloaded the latest version (3.0) of the Garmin Trainer. I can not get the VLOC ( VOR or ILS) to indicate on the CDI indicator. It immediately red flags when you hit the CDI button on the 530. ( no GS indication either on an ILS) I do get the digital readout of the identifier, radial and distance on the 530 but nothing on the CDI indicator. Is there something to acivate in the software or is it just non-functional?
2) I have the GPS approaches down pretty well, but ILS intercepts still seem to give me fits on the simulator. Loading the approaches and transitions are straight forward. After you have activated VTF, do you need to go back to the the PROC page and ENT the "Activate Vectors to Final" or "Activate Approach" once on the ILS. Because of #1 above, I can't seem to get this sorted out. Some help on when you use these "Activate" procedures for VTF and approach would be helpful.

Glad it has been of help to you.
The Garmin simulator only accurately simulates GPS functionality - not VLOC functionality.
