Gamin 530/430
can someone please help. I recently upgraded from a Cirrus sr22 to a seneca V with unfortunately no PFD but I did keep my Garmin 530/430Waas.
i am very well versed in Garminese from my experience with SR22 howevever for some reason I am unable to toggle in VNAV page from a WPT in MSL to AGL and Change the "Before' target to "After' target. Actually the cursor will not even fall over those fields to allow me to change a VSR profile. I will let me change the target altitude though and VSI.
I also keep seeing a message that keeps telling me to adjust my HSI to a particular track every few minutes. I have tried to find the message in the "schedule message" AUX page, but there are no messages programed. why does it keep telling me in the form of a message to change my HSI to a track heading.
I have downloaded all the recent upgrades. Do I have a software or hardware problem??
please any ideas

If it will not let you choose AGL then the waypoint is probably a VOR or intersection; you can only choose AGL with airports.
If it tells you to set your course then you need to adjust the OBS or course needle on your HSI.

I am sorry I should have mentioned it occurs over airport waypoints as well and I still not understand why it keeps scheduling a message to continue changing my course on HSI when I am flying GPSS mode. All it does is make me ignore message warnings. It goes off over few minutes.

It will still ask you to set the right heading even in GPSS mode because it is still important for your HSI to be oriented properly to display the course information.
The waypoint / VNAV issue is puzzling - can you double check to be sure the problem still exists with airports? That is quite odd.

definately over airports. yes it is very odd. I have an email to Garmin support as well. Lets hope its a software clitch and not a hardware issue.

Can you post some screenshots?
I did hear of one other person saying there are some software bugs in the VNAV feature on the WAAS units. Maybe this is specific to certain locations and certain conditions?
