Charity, a senior gal, ended up in a shelter in SC where they offered no extensive veterinary care. It was thought that she was possibly hit by a car. A kind shelter volunteer put out and S.O.S. call for any rescue who could possibly take this injured gal into their program. When a pilot learned of Charity's situation, he volunteered without hesitation to transport her from SC to Alabama in an attempt to save her life.
Though you can barely see her in her soft crate in the back of the plane, she had pleading eyes and was thankful that someone was offering to help her. Pilots, this is what these flights are all about....offering a ride to those who will not tolerate ground transport for various reasons. All of us in rescue work thank you for your generosity!
